IBB UNIVERSITY FIXES 2017/2018 ADMISSION CUT OFF POINT AT 160




Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai, Niger State, has fixed this year’s admission cut off point at 160.

The University’s Vice- Chancellor, Prof. Muhammed Nasiru Maiturare, at a press briefing today (29th August, 2017) in Minna, said the number represents 40% of the total performance  of candidates who chose the university in the 2017 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME).

He said besides the minimum 160 cut off point decided on by the university, candidates will also need to have 5 O’ Level credits in relevant subjects and correct UTME subjects Combination, among other requirements.

Meanwhile, the university’s admission portal will soon be open for candidates to upload their credentials ahead of admission screening.

It will be recalled that the official cut off point for this year’s admission is 120, but universities have however been given the permission to fix their respective cut off points and to conduct screening for candidates.

At the press briefing includes the university’s Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic, Deputy Vice-Chancellor Administration, the Registrar, the Bursar, Director Academic Planning, Academic Secretary, Dean of Students’ Affairs, among others.
