A distinguished and highly successful businessman, General T.Y. Danjuma is the founder and Chairman of South Atlantic Petroleum Limited (SAPETRO). In his early life, he had a brilliant career in the Nigerian Army and retired as Chief of Army Staff in 1979.
Danjuma’s SAPETRO and NAL/Comet Group, are some of the most successful indigenous oil and gas and shipping agencies/terminal operators in Nigeria.
The celebrant is a recipient of the as Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger (GCON) national honour, which is the highest award given in Nigeria to a non-head of state. 

He also has several other national and international awards and titles, as well as honorary doctorate degrees from notable Nigerian and foreign Universities.
His inspiring, illustrious career, his philanthropy and positive contributions to the lives of others, makes his forthcoming birthday a noble cause to be achieved by several of his friends, family and business associates.
