Young lady almost beaten to death by her boyfriend

A Facebook  user, Miracle Gbayee, who is a US-based Liberian entertainer, has taken to the social networking platform to share photos of her young niece who was almost beaten to death by her boyfriend
The violent act took place in Monrovia, the Liberian capital. The lady did not actually state what transpired between the lovers.
Miracle Gbayee posted the graphic photos and wrote;
“Friends And Family Please Pray For My Niece. Her Boyfriend Almost Kill Her Last Night In Monrovia Liberia.
“Whatsoever Coming Over Liberian Men. I Pray That They Will Change Before They Killed All Our Children And Sisters.”

The said boyfriend, according to Miracle Gbayee, is in the Liberian Army and he made it clear to the victim that he would kill her and nothing would happen to him.
In another post the Miracle Gbayee writes:
“Your Let Pray For My Niece, She’s fighting for her life in the hospital right now. her boyfriend almost kill her. He’s in the Liberian Army. He said if I killed you I will get away with it. My Lord Take Control”
Liberia is a West African country and it tops the index of the countries in Africa where women are more prone to abuse by men.
A 45-year-old housewife from Monrovia, Lucy Morris, says violence against women is a serious problem in Liberia.
“Many of us are beaten by our husbands. My husband beats me almost every time. He hurts me a lot. I have taken the complaints to the female [rights] lawyer and they have called him for an investigation, but this is still happening,” she said.
The latest data from the World Health Organization (WHO) show 33 percent of married Liberian women have reported experiencing domestic violence. Up to 77 percent of Liberian women say they have been the victim of sexual violence.
Human rights groups say it is likely these numbers are even higher, as many of the cases go unreported.
