Philanthropy
-Through his pet project - Kabir Bawa Rijau Foundation - he has given scholarship to the less privileged in Niger State. Hundreds have gone through the university system because of his Foundation. Owing to this giant stride, many of the beneficiaries are found in different endeavours, for example, the medical professions, legal practice, business, public/civil service, the organised private sector, etc. This Foundation predates the return of democracy in Nigeria in 1999.
- Kabir Bawa Rijau through interactions with his native Kontagora, he understood first-hand the challenges that secondary school students faced in getting the minimum requirements for admission into our tertiary institutions. With the help of his Kabir Bawa Rijau Foundation beneficiaries extra lessons were conducted for these students, and he in turn paid for their WAEC/SSCE examination fees.
- His business mentorship is such a resounding success. With the emergence of his Afro Foods & Spices, he now introduces a branding and packaging of farm produce largely harvested by his own people and brings them to major stores and shopping centres across the country. A true multiplier effect is felt through this business initiative.
- Community engagement. Kabir Bawa Rijau re-awakened the youths on the need to engage in both personal and community development. This feat finds expression in the way community meetings were organised to address issues as they confront the communities.
His engagement with his people began even before he turned 30.Kabir Bawa Rijau is truly a role model that the society needs.
